Cape Coast Technical University Sign Mou With  Genuine Project Inc., Cape Coast

Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) on Friday, September 9, 2022, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Genuine Project Inc., Cape Coast. The Genuine Project Inc. has proposed a partnership with the University that would formalize an internship programme between the organization and CCTU and also foster intellectual exchanges. The MOU for CCTU is to offer Students of the Departments of Building Technology and Civil Engineering of the Cape Coast Technical University, the opportunity for experiential learning through a practical Internship programme to students from the Institution at Genuine Project Inc. 

The Vice Chancellor of CCTU, Rt. Rev. Ing. Prof. Joshua Danso Owusu-Sekyere in his welcome address elucidated that the signing of the MOU was aimed at providing opportunities for students to have practical experiences of what would be learned in the lecture rooms which will in turn prepare them to adequately meet new trends in the world of work.  The Vice-Chancellor was therefore gladdened for such partnership.

Mr. Paa Kwesi E. A. Bonney, the Field Project Coordinator and Country Director for Genuine Project Inc., expressed his delight in the collaboration between CCTU and UCC and indicated that MOU will offer mutual benefits to his organization and CCTU. He added that the partnership would help nature young engineering students to be able to meet new demands.

Other dignitaries present at the meeting were Prof. Samuel K. Ansah – Pro-Vice-Chancellor, CCTU, Dr. Francis Narh Akrono – Registrar, CCTU, Prof. Charles Emmanuel Oppon, Dean of Students’ Affairs, CCTU, Perpetual Cecilia Acquah, Public Relations Officer, Genuine Project Inc., and Mr. Nicholas Aboagye Agyapong, Head of Media Team, Genuine Project Inc.
