Capacity Building Workshop for Staff of Tourism and Hospitality Management Departments Ends
A three day capacity building workshop for staff of the Department of Tourism Management and Department of Hospitality Management has ended successfully.
The training programme which sought to build the teaching capabilities of staff was funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MoTAC), Ghana Tourism Development Project (GTDP) and the World Bank.
The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Odame Appiah, from the Geography Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Mr. Ato Anaman and Miss Mary Acquaye Moore, all from the Department of Tourism Management, Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU).
In his closing remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the Cape Coast Technical University, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye underscored the importance of such capacity building programmes which is in line with the Technical Universities Act, Act 922. He challenged the Department to make good use of the training by providing world-class training to students and contribute to the development of the tourism and hospitality sector in the country
