Management of COA Research and Manufacturing Company Limited receives Vice-Chancellor and Other University Officials at their Facility

The Vice-Chancellor and his delegation on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, visited the COA Research and Manufacturing Company Limited (COA RML) at Abura Dunkwa. The Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) of COA RML (Prof Samuel Ato Duncan), the Board Chairman of COA (Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi) and other officers were delighted to receive the delegation.

After the usual pleasantries, the Registrar, Dr. Francis Narh Akrono informed the Officials of COA RML the mission of the visit. He indicated that since COA RML is one of the key industry players in the development of Cape Coast Technical University and considering the invaluable support, it was deemed important and necessary to inform the CEO and the Board Chairman of the change in leadership at CCTU. The Registrar officially introduced the new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye to the officials at COA RML.

The interaction centered on how to deepen the already existing relationship between the two institutions.  The Vice-Chancellor extended a special invitation to the leadership of COA RML to the 40th Anniversary of the Cape Coast Technical University to be celebrated next year, 2024. The C.E.O. of COA RML, Prof Samuel Ato Duncan, invited the leadership of CCTU to the stakeholders’ consultative meeting on 24th August, 2023 and the launching of a new product COA Plus Mixture on 3rd October, 2023. He said the Company also runs an NGO called Global Peace Mission and would like to have Peace Clubs in the University. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, on behalf of CCTU was very thankful to the leadership of COA RML for the warm reception and the enormous support given to the University.  

On his part, the C.E.O. of COA RML, Prof Samuel Ato Duncan expressed his profound gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and his team for the visit.

The team from CCTU comprised the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lawrence Atepor, the Registrar, Dr. Francis Narh Akrono, Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Benjamin Edu-Mensah, Head of Public Relations Section, Dr. Patrick Arthur, Head of Tourism Department, Dr. Richmond Yeboah and James Baidoo Photographer at the Directorate of Public Affairs.
