Chancellor Of CCTU Awarded Best CEO In Real Estate 2025

CHANCELLOR OF CCTU AWARDED BEST CEO IN REAL ESTATE 2025

The Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University, Dr. James Orleans-Lindsay, won the BEST CEO IN REAL ESTATE 2025 at the 9th Edition of the CEO Summit held in Accra.

Dr. Orleans-Lindsay urged business leaders to move beyond profit-making to purposeful investment, stressing that Ghana’s development depended on the vision, courage, and innovation of its private enterprises.

Drawing from his entrepreneurial journey, Dr. Orleans-Lindsay highlighted the impact of investing locally. He cited the 410 houses he had developed in the Achimota enclave, an area that was once a dumping site as a testament to the power of building with purpose.

Dr. Orleans-Lindsay outlined five bold actions he believed every business leader should commit to. First was to build for impact, not just income, ensuring local employment and community transformation. The second was to lead the digital transformation, citing his use of artificial intelligence on his farms through an AI platform called Irrigo Optima, which predicted water usage and potential crop diseases to enhance yields. Next was to invest in the youth as a strategy, not charity, referencing his role as Chancellor, to shape the minds of Ghana’s future workforce directly. Finally, to build sustainably, he pointed to his redevelopment of neglected areas into modern, liveable spaces.

The foremost annual business leadership conference in Ghana convenes CEOs from diverse sectors to explore innovative solutions for unlocking economic potential and driving transformative growth in the country.
