In a significant step towards the boosting of infrastructure at CCTU, Management, through competitive tendering process, awarded a contract for the Construction of a Lecture Block with Offices, with a contractual life span of one (1) year, to Halfast Limited (General Haulage and Construction Partners).

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, in his address, expressed gratitude to the Contractor and Consultant for their dedication towards the successful completion of the project. He highlighted the significance of the projects towards creating conducive learning environment for academic excellence.

The Ag. Director of Works and Physical Development, Dr. Stephen Agyefi-Mensah, who led the CCTU Management delegation, during the inspection with the AESL and Halfast Limited, emphasised his Directorate’s commitment to providing prompt maintenance to the facility to ensure its sustainability.

The brief event was done after Management reviewed all contract requirements, project’s completion documents and conducted inspection, to signify the end of the contractor's responsibilities and the beginning of CCTU's ownership and maintenance obligations.

The Three (3) Storey Lecture Block with Offices, built adjacent the University’s Commercial Block, has been designed to prepare future generations for careers in sustainability engineering.
