WORKING VISIT BY THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE COMMISSION FOR TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (CTVET) TO CAPE COAST TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The Director General of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), (Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah) paid a working visit to the Cape Coast Technical University on Monday, August 14, 2023. The aim of the visit was to explore possible avenues for collaboration and synergies especially in the ongoing implementation of the Ghana Skills Development Fund (GSDF) Project which is being executed by the Commission. The Head of Corporate Affairs and some media personnel accompanied the Director General.

As part of the tour, Dr. Asamoah visited most of the facilities of the University including the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) Centre with a delegation led by the Vice-Chancellor of the Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) (Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye). He shared some insight in relation to the equipment in the Centre and how they were going to be beneficial to the Ghana Skills Development Fund (GSDF) Project.  He was enthused with the general outlook of the Centre and was hopeful that the collaboration of the duo institutions (CTVET and CCTU) would bring a lasting relationship to achieve the shared objective.

Speaking to members at the brief tour, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah indicated that the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) is a world-class Industry which builds aircraft. He intimated that their products are of high quality. He encouraged management to inculcate proper use and regular maintenance of the machines.

The Director-General and his team were received by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, (Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye), the Registrar (Dr. Francis Narh Akrono), Director of Public Affairs, (Mr. Benjamin Edu-Mensah), Prof. Emmanuel Kwaw, Dr. Agyefi-Mensah and Dr. Samuel Cudjor. Jemimah Adjei-Attah reported for the Directorate of Public Affairs.
