PRESENTATION OF DONATED ITEMS RECEIVED FROM WORLD BANK AS GRANT TO DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM MANAGEMENT - CAPE COAST TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
On May 4, 2023, the Department of Tourism of the Cape Coast Technical University took delivery of items worth Two Hundred Thousand and Forty-four Ghana Cedis (GH¢200,044.00) from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture under its Ghana Tourism Development Project (GTDP) funded by the World Bank to incorporate the needed skills development that would prepare students for the industry.
Four Technical Universities were selected for the award of the World Bank grant and Cape Coast Technical University was one of the beneficiary institutions. The items presented were to support the Department of Tourism and the Department of Hospitality Management.
At a short presentation ceremony, held at the University Stores, the Head of Department of Tourism Management, Mr. Ato Anaman, officially handed over the items received to the Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lawrence Atepor. The items presented included; Furniture, Laptop Computers, Desktop Computers, Photocopiers, Projectors, Air Conditioners, Ceiling Fans, Double Door Refrigerators, Double chest freezer, Toshiba External Hard Drive, Five Burner Cooker etc.
The Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Atepor after receiving the items congratulated the members of staff of the Department of Tourism Management and urged them to strive hard in order to achieve more of such grants for the Department, School and the entire University. A team led by the Registrar inspected an office at the ground floor of old Administration Block earmarked for Travel and Tour Operations in the Department of Tourism Management.

Tetteh, Dean of School of Applied Arts and Mr. Ato Anaman Head of Tourism Department.
