Circuits and Connections : CCTU Electrical/Electronic Students Showcase Skills
Students of the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering of the Cape Coast Technical University, through teamwork and collaboration, have manufactured functional electrical extension boards for the University and the general public.
The feat has been attributed to a dedicated faculty and Management support, thus reechoing the University’s mission of providing quality technical, vocational and entrepreneurial education that inspires learners to be creative and driven towards technology-based and sustainable solutions for communities and industries within the country and the sub-region.
In an interview with Mr. Anthony Ekow Sey, a lecturer at the Department, who supervised the students, expressed his excitement about the students’ inventions.
“These skills are useful in everyday life, enabling students to handle electrical needs at home and preparing them for future projects”, he said. He emphasized the usefulness of the electrical extension boards.
According to Mr. Sey, the Department’s focus on practical training prepares students for complex projects such as industrial automation and renewable energy systems. With this approach, CCTU Electrical/Electronic Engineering graduates would be confident, competent, and ready to tackle challenging projects, and make positive impacts.
The students were excited to showcase their inventions and expressed optimism about the future.
