School of Built & Natural Environment
INTRODUCTION
The School of Built and Natural Environment was created in April 2021 and began operation in August 2021. There are two departments under the School of Built and Natural Environment, namely, Construction Technology and Management and Environmental Management and Technology.
VISION
The vision is to train students to acquire the necessary knowledge to be recognized in the area of sustainable construction. The knowledge acquired through intellectual and personal experience will prepare them to boost human capacity building in the Ghanaian construction industry.
MISSION
Graduates from the School of Built and Natural Environment will have the manpower with the requisite skills and knowledge in the areas of Science and Technology for the needs of the Ghanaian construction industry and beyond.
ADMINISTRATION
The Dean heads the School. He/she is responsible for the administrative and academic development of the School. The Office has a total staff strength of two (2). They are as follows:

The School has a total number of twenty-five (25) staff. This consists of eighteen (18) Senior Members (teaching), one (1) Senior Member (non-teaching), five (5) senior instructors, one (1) Senior Staff (non-teaching).

ACHIEVEMENTS
The Construction Technology and Management Department secured a grant approval of Ghc 1.2 million from the Ghana Skills Development Fund (GSDF) by the Commission for Technical, Vocational Education, and Training (CTVET) under Window III: Training Innovation Grants on Friday, April 21, 2023
The Department of Environmental Management and Technology has been granted administrative approval for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Environmental Management and Technology programme by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

EXPECTATIONS AND PROJECTIONS
The School is waiting to receive final approval from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) on the assessment of its Master of Technology (MTech) Construction Technology and Management and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Construction Technology and Management for the accreditation. The School also plans to establish Department of Real Estate and Facility Management. These programmes will provide a wide range of opportunities for students to choose.
The School plans to expand the school’s graduate studies output. The Department of Environmental Management and Technology intends to commence a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Environment
The Department of Construction Technology and Management is developing a full accreditation document for Bachelor of Technology in Quantity Surveying programme for accreditation.
The School intends to organize a workshop on Abstract and Full Article presentation within the 2023/2024 academic year.
