Introduction
The Department of Entrepreneurship and Agribusiness [EntA] has two underlying interface in terms of functions – the entrepreneurship, and agribusiness. The Entrepreneurship repertoire combines relevant knowledge of management, accounting, law, economics, ethics, finance, marketing, and ICT to provide a strong theoretical and practical foundation for entrepreneurship and business innovation. It is intended to prepare graduates to start their own business or become the driving force of innovation within existing business enterprises.
Similarly, the agribusiness concept offers exceptional courses relating to business and policy with a variety of customizing specializations. The agribusiness section teaches students to skilfully combine sound economic and management principles with agricultural production policy and technology [i.e. issues relating to input supplies, value-addition, marketing, entrepreneurship, micro financing, agricultural extension, among others]. The Programme endeavours to meet the growing demand for agribusiness as a key foundation of value-based education, research, development of business, and academic leaders of tomorrow.
