Over the years, environmental management and associated technologies have evolved and become essential for overcoming the environmental crisis and ensuring sustainable development.
The Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Management Technology is designed to provide high-quality training in practical and theoretical environmental management technology. This interdisciplinary degree integrates elements of science, management, technology, and social science to help students understand the environmental systems in which we live and work and how we can improve our actions as inhabitants. The programme is made up of 40% assessment and 60% examination.

Aim and Objectives
The programme seeks to equip students to understand and manage local, national and international environmental problems sustainably and develop their analytical, design and systems thinking skills, making them competitive in the job market.
The specific objectives of the programme are to help students:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of environmental science, ecology, and the interrelationships between human activities and the natural environment.
- Gain a deep knowledge of environmental technologies, including renewable energy, waste management, water treatment, and pollution control, to design and implement sustainable solutions.
- Learn how to assess and analyse environmental issues and challenges.
- Acquire environmental monitoring, data analysis, and modelling skills to assess environmental impacts and develop adequate environmental protection and conservation strategies.
- Explore the legal and policy frameworks related to environmental regulations and international agreements, understanding the role of governance in environmental management.
- Cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex environmental issues through research, innovation, and technological advancements.
- Communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, industries, communities, and non-governmental organisations.
