Introduction

The Marketing Department was established in the 1994/1995 Academic year under the Department of Accountancy Studies. The Department became autonomous in 1997 after accreditation by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) now. Marketing Studies is one of the departments under the School of Business and Management Studies. It was established twenty-three (23) years ago (1994/1995) to offer the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing Studies. From the 1994/95 academic year, the first batch of students were enrolled to undertake a Higher National Diploma in Marketing Studies. The programme aims to provide students with the requisite level of the key principles, and theories relating to marketing and to enable them to function efficiently and effectively. In addition, programmes such as a 4-year B.Tech Marketing Studies, 2-year B.Tech (Top-Up) Marketing Studies, Diploma in Electronic Marketing (DEM), and Diploma in Public Relations (DPR) are also run by the Department.
