Department Of Procurement And Supply Chain Management

The Department of Procurement and Supply Chain Management was established during the 2013/2014 academic year. The aim was to produce middle-level management professionals who possess hands-on skills and competencies in procurement. The emphasis on students practicing theoretical perspectives of the studies is geared
towards the achievement of the national goal of skill development of the youth. Students are therefore mandated to undergo industry trips/ attachments to avail themselves to learn the practical aspects of work.
Vision
To lead in supply chain and procurement education with a focus on sustainable and innovative practices.                                                                                                                 Mission
To develop skilled professionals in procurement and supply chain management, driving efficient, sustainable, and technology-enabled solutions that enhance industry and community growth.
AIM
The program aims to train students to be specialists in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and collaborate with peers to be entrepreneurs to establish
their firms.

• The major objective of the Department is to equip students with skills, competencies and knowledge-based concepts of a secretary or administrator, as well as the principles and practices of management.
Specific Objectives
• To boost the practical aspects of procurement and supply chain management
skills.

• To enhance the use of technology in procurement processes
• To build the foundation of research
• To establish the foundation for further studies in procurement and supply chain management.
• To prepare non-tertiary students to qualify for HND and graduate programmes.
