Welcome to the Department of Tourism Management! The Department of Tourism Management is one of the three (3) Departments of the School of Applied Arts. It was established in October 2000 to run Higher National Diploma (HND) programme in tourism. The Department offers courses in tourism and hospitality to prepare students to work in middle-level management and management positions in tourism, hospitality, service and other industries in the country. The department currently runs the Bachelor of Technology Programme in Tourism Management, Higher National Diploma (HND) and Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management. The Department provides an environment for teaching, research and learning in Tourism for the industrial and the socio-economic development of Ghana, Africa and beyond. Our department prides itself on offering a vibrant learning environment, blending academic excellence with hands-on experiences. Warm regards! Introduction

The Department of Tourism Management, located within the School of Applied Arts (SAA), was established in October 2000 to run an HND programme in Tourism and Hospitality Studies. The Department offers various courses to prepare students to work in middle-level management positions in tourism, hospitality, service and other industries in the country.

Vision

To produce students who will be able to supervise or manage important positions in tourism, hospitality and other service businesses or establish their own businesses in these fields, thereby contributing to the economic and social development of Ghana.
