The office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor oversees the Academic Affairs of Cape Coast Technical University. The office champions all the academic programmes, educational opportunities and researches of the University.

The Pro Vice -Chancellor reports to the Vice-Chancellor and is responsible for providing Senior Level Leadership, Strategic and Action Plan which includes:

  • Academic Development Support
  • Teaching Performance
  • Academic Policies And Programmes and
  • Quality Enhancement of  Learning and Teaching In The University

Vision

My vision as a Pro Vice-Chancellor is to strengthen and promote academic interest of the University and networking with other institutions while assisting the Vice-Chancellor in achieving the overall vision of the University.

Core Function of Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Technical University

The core function of Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Technical University is to assist the Vice Chancellor in the management of the Technical University as enshrined in the Technical Universities Act, 2016 (Act 922) and the Guiding Statutes for Technical Universities in Ghana, 2019. In other words, the Pro Vice-Chancellor is the deputy to the Vice Chancellor and stands in for the Vice Chancellor in his/her absence. He assists the Vice-Chancellor in both academic and administrative duties of the University.

Duties

The Pro Vice-Chancellor oversees the Academic Affairs of the University. In other words, the Pro Vice-Chancellor champions all the Academic Programmes and Policies, Educational opportunities and Researches of the University.

The Pro Vice – Chancellors of CCTU chairs the following Committee / Boards

  1. Appointments and Promotions Board - Senior/Junior Staff
  2. Examination Committee
  3. Examination Malpractice Committee
  4. Joint Admissions Board
  5. Residence and Housing Committee
  6. Transport Committee
  7. Health and Safety Committee
  8. Industrial Liaison Committee
  9. Sports and Recreation Committee
  10. Disciplinary Board
