CCTU’S CHANCELLOR RECEIVES ‘ORDER OF VOLTA’ FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE NATION  

The Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University, Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay has received the prestigious ‘Order of the Volta’ (Membership) Award for his outstanding contributions to the Real Estate/Construction industry at the 2024 National Honours and Awards Ceremony.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dunkwa Akufo-Addo on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre, conferred the award on Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay.

The award, which is the second highest honour in the country, was bestowed upon Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay in recognition of his unwavering dedication to sustainable real estate and construction in Ghana and beyond.

Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay’s award is a testament to the impact of his work and a recognition of the critical role that the Real Estate and Construction plays in promoting national development.

President Akufo-Addo, in his citation, applauded Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay for his contributions to national development. Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay’s on the other hand, expressed his appreciation to the President and dedicated the award to his team of staff.

The Order of the Volta, Ghana's second highest honour, is conferred on individuals who have significantly contributed to the country's development. Eligible recipients come from sectors such as civil service, military, police, judiciary, education, public health, sports, culture, commerce, and agriculture.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Ministers of State, and other high-ranking citizens and government officials.
