INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION FOR MONITORING AND EVALUATION PAYS WORKING VISIT TO CCTU AFTER 2019 PAC TRACER STUDIES

Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU), welcomed a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for a monitoring and evaluation exercise aimed at assessing the progress of the ongoing Program Advisory Committee (PAC) projects and initiatives at the University.

The primary objective of the IFC's visit was to ensure that programs offered by the Technical University were aligned with industry needs, thereby reducing graduate unemployment. To achieve this, the IFC recommended the establishment of PACs, comprising industry experts who advised the Institution on marketable programs and courses.

Directors and Heads of Department of the University presented updates on existing PAC program upgrades, faculty development initiatives, entrepreneurship programs and job creation strategies.

IFC delegation provided valuable insights on best practices for project management, development initiatives, entrepreneurship programs and job creation strategies. They also highlighted the importance of expanding PAC membership and implementing calculated changes to achieve the goal of eradicating graduate unemployment.

IFC's monitoring and evaluation exercise demonstrates its commitment to supporting Technical Universities in Ghana. By working together, CCTU and IFC aim to produce graduates equipped with skills and knowledge, tailored to the needs of the job market.
