The Most Outstanding Teacher of 2021 in Ghana, Mr. Ebenezer Kojo Otoo and his entourage paid a courtesy call on the Management of the Cape Coast Technical University on Friday, August 19, 2021. He was accompanied by the executives of Central Regional National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Representatives of the Regional Directorate of Education and the Efutu Municipal Assembly respectively.

The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Ing. Prof. Joshua Danso Owusu-Sekyere on behalf of Management welcomed the team and congratulated Mr. Otoo for attaining such a great feat. In a brief speech, Mr. Ebenezer Otoo noted that the purpose of his visit was to officially announce his accomplishment to Management since the University is a major stakeholder in education within the Region. He again proposed to Management to consider creating space for what he called “Hall of Fame” where the accomplishments of staff would be displayed to motivate others to work hard. He further solicited support to undertake some projects in the region to enable him win the 2022/2023 Global Teacher Prize.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Owusu-Sekyere, assured him that Management would consider his plea for support. He requested Mr. Ebenezer K. Otoo to function as an ambassador for the University locally and internationally.

In attendance was the Registrar, Dr. Francis N. Akrono; Director of Consular and General Services, Mr. Michael M. Bentil; Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Benjamin Edu Mensah; Director of Physical Works and Development, Mr. Gabriel Hagan and some staff of the University.
