EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF INNOVATORS: CCTU AND THINK HUB GHANA TO JOIN FORCES

Think Hub Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) which is leading innovation and entrepreneurship amongst Ghanaian youth, has partnered with the Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) to train students in innovation and entrepreneurial skills.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Model Lecture Room of CCTU, Think Hub Ghana, engaged with some students and faculty members of the School of Business, to prepare students to participate in a £4000 innovative project.

Think Hub Ghana, is committed to helping the youth and/or aspiring young entrepreneurs to realize their dreams by providing them with knowledge and technical skills. The Organisation consists of various Universities, specifically 12 public universities in Ghana, with CCTU being the only Technical University as part of the organisation.

Professor George Acheampong, the Executive Secretary for Think Hub Ghana visited the University to take students through the criteria for the project. According to him, the programme will cover topics such as design thinking, ideation, prototyping and pitching, providing students with the opportunity to work on real-world problems and develop innovative solutions.

The winning participant(s) of the £4000 innovation project will have the chance to travel to London to pitch their ideas to business leaders. The training programme is scheduled to take place over the next few months, culminating in a pitch competition where students will showcase their innovative ideas and projects.

This partnership between Think Hub Ghana and CCTU is a significant step towards fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students in Ghana, providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to develop innovative ideas and projects so as to compete on the global stage.
