CCTU INAUGURATES ULTRA-MODERN DIGITAL MARKETING LABORATORY

The Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU), on Thursday, March 12, 2026, launched an ultra-modern Digital Marketing Laboratory to enhance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ghana.

The ultra-modern Laboratory, features 25 desktop computers, 25 web cameras, 25 headsets, a photocopier, a projector, and other necessary technologies to facilitate training. It forms part of Digital Marketing (DigiMarkt) in TVET in Ghana Project, co-funded by the European Union, with a total funding of €394,185.00 for five Universities of which CCTU is a beneficiary.

Ahead of the launch, Dr. Jonathan Barth (the Project's International Coordinator, Germany), Professor Gernot Barth (Germany), Professor Yarhands Dissou Arthur (Ghana, USTED Coordinator) and Dr. Wisdom W. K. Pomegbe (CCTU, Coordinator) together with other members paid a courtesy call on Management of the University.

Dr. Anthony H. Turkson (the Registrar) and Mr. Kwabena Owusu (Director of Finance), on behalf of Management, welcomed the delegation. They expressed appreciation for the visit, emphasising the vital role such visit played in developing CCTU’s social capital.

Dr. Wisdom W. K. Pomegbe (CCTU Project Coordinator) in an interview mentioned that the Lab would provide staff and students with cutting-edge digital marketing skills, positioning them for the demands of the contemporary digital economy.

The launch was expected to pave way for practical academic work in Digital Marketing education and training, and research partnerships.

The inauguration ended with a presentation of memorabilia and group photographs, marking the beginning of a promising partnership.
