08th, October 2025

The Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University, Prof. Emmanuel Kwaw, officially unveiled the “Alumna of the Week”, Mrs. Georgina Attachie, as part of the University’s 40th Anniversary Celebration on the morning show of the University’s radio station, Eagle FM 87.7 MHz, hosted by Malik Ramzy.
In his remarks, Prof. Kwaw commended Mrs. Georgina Attachie for her unwavering dedication to education and her remarkable decision to serve her alma mater, a gesture he described as admirable and worthy of emulation. As part of the occasion, he shared her academic and professional journey and achievements with the audience.
Prof. Kwaw mentioned that Mrs. Attachie first joined the University in the year 2000, marking twenty-five (25) years of loyal and dedicated service to the Institution. Her career began at the School of Business and Management Studies, where she served as Clerk and steadily advanced, through hard work and perseverance, to her present position as Assistant Registrar. She currently works as an Administrator at the Directorate of University Health Services, CCTU.

Following her introduction, Mrs. Attachie expressed heartfelt appreciation for being recognised as the “Alumna of the Week”. She described the honour as both humbling and inspiring, noting that it strengthened her commitment to continuous growth and service.
Drawing from her personal experience, she urged young people to remain focused, disciplined and diligent in all their pursuits. She recalled that, when she joined CCTU, she held only an O-Level certificate, but her desire to progress drove her to further her education. She stressed that being in an academic environment should inspire continuous self development rather than comfort, reminding everyone that true growth required effort, sacrifice and determination.
She acknowledged the challenges of balancing education, family and work but emphasised that with persistence and resilience, success is attainable. Mrs. Attachie’s message to the youth was clear in her statement, “Never be content with your current level. Keep aiming higher. Keep working harder, and stay true to your goals and vision”.

In conclusion, the Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor encouraged prospective students to take advantage of the ongoing admissions at CCTU. He highlighted that the University offered both hands-on training and soft skills development, preparing graduates to excel confidently in professional settings.
He added that students of CCTU were equipped to face interviews and opportunities with clarity and confidence, not hesitation. Therefore, he urged all aspiring tertiary students to look no further than Cape Coast Technical University, where instant admission and a transformative learning experience await.
