The Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) has made a significant commitment to enhancing campus security with the introduction of new security uniforms. The outdooring ceremony, attended by some Management members and Security Personnel, underscores the University's dedication to creating a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and clients.

At the outdooring ceremony on Monday, June 2, 2025, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, the Vice-Chancellor, emphasised the importance of a secure campus, highlighting its essential role in the day-to-day activities and the overall well-being of the University community. He stressed the significance of teamwork in maintaining a strong security presence on campus.

Dr. Anthony H. Turkson, Registrar of the Institution, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the critical role security personnel play in maintaining peace and order on campus.

Mr. John Owiredu Acheampong, the Acting Head of Security, expressed appreciation to Management for the provision of the new uniforms, stating that it was a great motivation for the Personnel to work harder and together. “The new uniforms are likely to boost Security Personnel's morale and motivation, leading to more effective and diligent performance of their duties. This gesture from Management demonstrates its commitment to supporting the security team, which is expected to foster a sense of responsibility and dedication among the Personnel”, he said.

The new uniforms are part of the University's ongoing efforts to improve the overall security infrastructure and provide Security Personnel with the necessary tools to effectively carry out their duties.
