CCTU and G-Hub Foundation Partner to Drive Innovation and Green Engineering
Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) has strengthened its innovation ecosystem through a strategic partnership with the G-Hub Foundation, a technology-focused NGO that promotes sustainable, eco-friendly engineering across Ghana.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, the Executive Secretary of G-Hub Foundation, Mr. Isaac Awua-Boateng, signed an MoU with CCTU at a brief ceremony held at the University’s Council Chamber and donated equipment worth Seventy Thousand Ghana cedis (Ghâľ70,000) to the University’s Engineering Design and Innovation Centre (EDIC).
The donated equipment included 3D printers and accessories, a laser cutter/engraver, a 75-inch smartboard and computer, soldering kits, conference furniture, and fabrication tools.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Awua-Boateng described the gesture as “a strategic investment in the future, an investment in the minds and hands that will shape Ghana’s technological landscape”. He emphasised that innovation thrived when young people were equipped with the right tools, mentorship, and environment.

Guided by its motto, “Innovating Green, Empowering Lives”, G-Hub Foundation continues to champion partnerships that blend technology and sustainability for social impact - Mr. Awua-Boateng stated.
The partnership, he said, reflected shared values of sustainability, innovation, collaboration, empowerment, integrity, and excellence, and aimed to support projects that tackled local challenges through renewable energy and green technology solutions.

The Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor of CCTU, Prof. Emmanuel Kwaw, received the donated items on behalf of the University and subsequently handed them over to Dr. Kwame Anane-Fenin, Director of the Engineering Design and Innovation Centre (EDIC).

On behalf of Management, Prof. Kwaw conveyed CCTU’s appreciation for the gesture and expressed enthusiasm in partnering with G-Hub to further enhance the University’s niche area of Renewable Energy, noting that it was an indication of greater opportunity driving the transformation of Ghana’s technical education landscape.

The meeting concluded with a presentation of CCTU memorabilia and group photographs, marking the beginning of a promising partnership.
