THE CHANCELLOR OF CAPE COAST TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY ADJUDGED THE 2024 CIMG MARKETING MAN OF THE YEAR

Dr James Condua Orleans-Lindsay, the Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) and the Executive Chairman of JL Holdings has been awarded the 2024 Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) Marketing Man of the Year.  JL Properties, one of the subsidiaries of JL Holdings also received “Marketing-Oriented Real Estate Company of the year, 2024” award.

A citation presented in honour of Dr. Orleans-Lindsay acknowledged him for expanding his impressive portfolio with landmark developments, including Bentum-Williams Place at North Airport, Ewuresi’s Legacy near the Nigerian High Commission, and Lindsay Gardens, behind the Achimota Mall —all gated communities that provide safety, convenience, and lifestyle value to their residents. The Chancellor’s award was also in recognition of his company’s introduction of apartment-style homes alongside its renowned gated enclaves, offering diverse housing options for Ghana’s growing urban population.

The citation stated further that beyond construction, Dr. Orleans-Lindsay had enhanced customer experience through smart home upgrades, early-bird offers, post-purchase support services, and dedicated relationship managers – positioning himself as not just a developer, but a fellow partner in homeownership. “These initiatives, along with a bold vision to deliver over 2,000 new housing units within the next five years, directly contribute to addressing Ghana’s housing deficit, which is estimated to exceed 2 million units,” it added.

The prestigious CIMG Marketing Man of the Year award was presented to Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay at the 36th CIMG National Marketing Performance Awards which took place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra. He took over the award from David Eduaful, the first Ghanaian Managing Director of Labadi Beach Hotel.

The event, which was held on the theme “Repositioning Brand Ghana: Marketing for Economic Growth and Transformation,” honoured organisations and individuals who had advanced the Ghana brand through innovation, creativity, and social impact.
