METROPOLITAN CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF CAPE COAST COMMENDS CCTU

The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Cape Coast, Mayor George Justice Arthur, on Friday, August 29, 2025, led a delegation from Little Rock City, Arkansas, United States of America, to pay a courtesy call on the Management of Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU). The Registrar of CCTU, Dr. Anthony H. Turkson, welcomed the delegation on behalf of Management at a brief meeting held at the Council Chamber, CCTU.

In his introduction, the MCE, Hon. Arthur, commended the Management of the University for its partnership in the development of the Metropolis. He added that his reason for leading the delegation to CCTU was to extend opportunities to the University, because of the immense contribution and support the Assembly has received upon his assumption of office. He further emphasised the need to deepen the relationship and cordiality with the University through a collaboration with the partners of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly. The immediate past Chairman of the Little Rock Sister City Commission, Mr. Brandon Morris, indicated that the Commission focused particularly on trade, education and infrastructure; therefore, its visit was to understand the areas of collaboration so it could partner with CCTU for mutual benefit.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, applauded the MCE for his love and support for the University. He assured the delegation that all lines of communication were open and that Management was ready for business.

The short meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anthony H. Turkson. Present at the meeting were the Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Kwaw, Deans, Directors and Heads of Department and Section.
