Cape Coast Technical University sends-off Retirees

The Cape Coast Technical University has sent of hardworking retired staff in a colorful ceremony on Thursday December 17, 2020.

The short ceremony which took place at the Building Auditorium of the University saw the presence of the Ritirees and their families, The Vice Chancellor, the Registrar among a host of other staff.

In addressing the Ritirees, the vice Chancellor Ing.Prof. J.D Owusu Sekyere quoted a saying that "a country whose heroes are not celebrated is not worth dying for."

He explained that it is for such reason why the ceremony was organized to show appreciation to the retirees for their dedication and long service to the university.

He congratulated and wished them well in their endeavors. He admonished them not to retard in their day-to-day life even though they may have retired from work.

The Retirees were presented with citations in their honor, gifts and cash prizes as part of their send off rewards.

One of the retirees who had worked for thirty-six (36) years expressed his appreciation to the university for the opportunity to work with them and said his retirement is met with mixed and nostalgic feelings.
