CAPE COAST TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY HOLDS SEMINAR ON BASE-LINE EXPERIENCE IN GRANT ACQUISITION

The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy on Thursday, September 02, 2020 organized a day seminar for Staff of the University. The seminar which was on the topic ''Base-Line Experience in Grant Acquisition” was to enhance Staff of the University in grant proposal writing. Dr. Ernest Teye, a Senior Lecturer at Department of Agriculture Engineering, University of Cape Coast was the Facilitator for the seminar.

Dr. Teye took participants through building collaborations, winning steps, general role among other important areas in grant proposal writing. He stated that it was possible for each Staff to win a grant if Staff were to put in more effort in writing proposals.

The Acting Director of Research, Innovation and Consultancy, Dr. Felix Menu indicated that the seminar was part of series of activities and programmes aimed at building the human resource capacity of the University in the area of grant proposal writing. He assured the participants that his office will continue to organise more of such training programmes.

On his part, the Registrar of the University, Dr. Francis Narh Akrono underscored the need for such seminars to be organized. He entreated participants to take keen interest in such seminars because it will go a long way to raise funds to support the University.

Present also at the seminar were the Pro Vice-Chancellor, the Librarian, Deans, and Heads of Department.
