AMERICAN CHICKEN COOKING COMPETITION HONORS CCTU HCIM LECTURER

Mrs. Augustina Sackle Sackey Akins, a lecturer at the department of Hospitality Catering & Institution Management, has been honored by the American Chicken Cooking Competition for her hard work and dedicated service to the catering industry. The event, which took place on 26th to 29th of August 2019 at the Labadi Beach Hotel, featured 80 students with 10 each from eight Technical Universities.

The purpose for this cooking competition was to motivate students’ chefs, and also broaden their scope and horizon in the catering Industry. In each season of the competition, lecturers and heads of departments are encouraged to participate in the competition to ensure that the students are well coached, and that there is fairness in every aspect of the competition.

The organizers, knowing the invaluable contribution and commitment of some lecturers to the event, instituted the “All Time Best lecturer” enviable award which this year went to Mrs. Augustina Sackle Akins for her contribution and involvement in preparing students of Cape Coast Technical University for the event. Management, staff, and there entire students congratulate her for attaining this feet.
